Academic Resource is looking for a Technical Writer for a Life Science company in Uppsala. The position is an initial 1-year consulting assignment with the possibility of extension.

Location: Uppsala. Immediate start.

Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, review, and publish user documentation for both digital and print formats, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards, branding guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, PMO) to deliver documentation on time and in a cost-effective manner.

• Develop new technical documentation for product development and update existing materials (text and illustrations).

• Estimate timelines, plan tasks, and provide status updates.

• Maintain documentation databases and inform stakeholders of new or revised content.

• Support the development of tools and platforms for efficient production and maintenance of documentation.

Qualifications:

• MSc, preferably in molecular biology or a related field; alternatively, BSc with relevant experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in technical writing, editing, and documentation production, e.g., user manuals or validation guides.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled in technical writing and editing.

• Experience with SDL Tridion or XML-based CMS, Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator, and HTML/CSS.

• Fluent in English.

Desirable:

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with marketing, product management, and scientific teams.

• Experience with CAD tools and video editing is a plus.
